A German VPS, run by the network operator.
Most VPS providers in Germany rent capacity on someone else’s network. We run our own: AS211138, announced from Frankfurt with direct peering at DE-CIX. When routing, filtering or peering needs to change, our engineers change it — there is no upstream carrier ticket queue between your VPS and a fix.
The result is measurable: single-digit round-trip times to most Western European capitals, DDoS scrubbing at our own edge instead of a remote scrubbing centre, and a public looking glass so you can verify every claim on this page before you pay.
Every VPS Germany plan includes
- 3.2 Tbps Layer 3/4/7 DDoS mitigation, always on, no surcharge
- Dedicated IPv4 + IPv6 with self-service PTR / RDNS
- KVM virtualization with full root access, managed via Virtualizor
- NVMe / SSD storage on AMD Ryzen 9 compute nodes
- 1 manual backup slot with one-click restore
- Hosting in Frankfurt, Germany — data never leaves the EU
- 99.9% uptime SLA and 14-day money-back guarantee

Included on every VPS Germany plan
Frankfurt is where the European internet interconnects.
Frankfurt hosts DE-CIX, one of the largest internet exchange points in the world by traffic. Hosting your VPS metres from that exchange — on a network that peers there directly — is what keeps round-trip times to the rest of Europe in the single digits.
Why an own ASN matters
AS211138 is our autonomous system, operated since 2018. Running the network ourselves instead of reselling a carrier’s gives us three practical advantages you can measure:
- Routing control: we choose paths and peers, so congestion or a bad route gets fixed by our engineers, not queued at an upstream carrier.
- Filtering at the edge: DDoS scrubbing runs on our own border, inline. Attack traffic is dropped before it reaches your VM — no detour through a remote scrubbing centre.
- Direct peering: traffic to major European networks hands over at DE-CIX in Frankfurt instead of transiting third parties, which removes hops and cuts latency.

Our network setup in short: every VPS Germany plan runs on AS211138, announced from Frankfurt am Main with peering at DE-CIX and 3.2 Tbps of Layer 3/4/7 DDoS mitigation inline at the border. Need to announce your own prefixes over BGP? That is a separate product — see the BGP VPS range.
Your data stays in Germany. Verifiably.
Every VPS and its storage run in a Tier III, ISO 27001 certified facility in Frankfurt am Main. We do not replicate customer data outside the European Union, and Private Hosting is a European legal entity subject to GDPR — not a foreign subsidiary hosting “in Germany” under another jurisdiction’s disclosure laws.
For workloads that process personal data, that means one less clause to defend in your records of processing: the infrastructure, the network and the operator are all in the EU.

The platform under your VPS.
KVM nodes on AMD Ryzen 9 CPUs with NVMe storage, managed through Virtualizor. No proprietary agent inside your OS, no restrictions on what you run.
KVM virtualization
Every plan is a full KVM virtual machine with its own kernel — not a container. That means real isolation, custom kernels, any container runtime on top, and Windows Server support. Nodes run AMD Ryzen 9 CPUs with enterprise NVMe storage; the Ryzen 9 7950X3D tier adds DDR5 ECC and NVMe Gen4 for cache-bound workloads.
Virtualizor control panel
Reinstall the OS, boot a custom ISO up to 7 GB, manage the firewall, set PTR and RDNS records on IPv4 and IPv6, and watch resource graphs — all self-service from the Virtualizor panel. Root access from first boot; upgrades resize the VM in place with no IP change.
Manual backup included
One manual backup slot is included on every plan at no extra cost. Snapshot the VPS from the panel before a risky upgrade, restore it in one click if the change goes wrong. Scheduled automatic backups are on the roadmap.
What’s included, compared honestly.
Large German hosts run excellent networks. The difference is what ships in the base price: on our plans, DDoS mitigation, a dedicated IPv4 and a backup slot are not billable extras.
| Feature | Private Hosting VPS Germany | Typical German host |
|---|---|---|
| Layer 3/4/7 DDoS mitigation | 3.2 Tbps, always on, included | Basic filtering; full L7 often a paid add-on |
| Dedicated IPv4 | Included on every plan | Increasingly a monthly surcharge |
| Network | Own AS211138, DE-CIX peering | Carrier mix or reseller network |
| Manual backup | 1 slot included | Usually a paid backup add-on |
| Windows Server | Templates available (KVM) | Varies; often Linux-only at entry level |
| Money-back guarantee | 14 days, no questions asked | Varies by provider |

Is my data GDPR-safe on a VPS in Germany?
Yes. Your VPS and its storage run in our Frankfurt am Main datacenter and the data does not leave the European Union. Private Hosting is a European company subject to GDPR, and we do not replicate customer data outside the EU. You stay the data controller for your workloads; we operate the infrastructure.
Where exactly are the servers located?
All VPS Germany plans run in a Tier III, ISO 27001 certified facility in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, on our own network AS211138 with peering at DE-CIX. You can verify routes, latency and peering yourself from our public looking glass at lg-de.private-hosting.eu before you order.
Is DDoS protection really included, or is it an add-on?
It is included. Every plan ships with 3.2 Tbps of always-on DDoS mitigation covering Layer 3, Layer 4 and Layer 7 attacks, including SYN floods, UDP amplification and HTTP floods. Filtering happens at our own network edge before traffic reaches your VM. There is no add-on fee and nothing to activate during an attack.
Can I run Windows on your VPS in Germany?
Yes. The platform uses KVM virtualization, which runs Windows Server as well as Linux distributions. Windows Server templates deploy from the panel next to the usual Linux images; check the order form for current versions and licensing options.
Is a dedicated IPv4 address included?
Yes. Every VPS includes a dedicated IPv4 address plus IPv6, with no NAT and no shared IP. You manage PTR and RDNS records for both protocols yourself from the control panel, which matters for mail reputation and reverse lookups.
What latency should I expect from Frankfurt?
Typical round-trip times from our Frankfurt edge are about 4 ms to Amsterdam, 6 ms to Paris, 8 ms to London and 13 ms to Milan. Frankfurt sits at the centre of European routing, so most EU destinations are one or two hops away. Test it live from our looking glass at lg-de.private-hosting.eu.
What virtualization and control panel do you use?
Every VPS is a full KVM virtual machine with its own kernel, managed through the Virtualizor control panel. From the panel you can reinstall the OS, boot a custom ISO of up to 7 GB, manage the firewall, set PTR and RDNS records, and take snapshots. Root access comes standard.
Are backups included?
Yes, a manual backup is included on every plan at no extra cost. Take a snapshot from the panel before risky changes and restore it in one click if something breaks. Scheduled automatic backups are on the roadmap; manual snapshots are available today.
How fast is deployment?
Most VPS deployments are live in about 60 seconds after checkout. Provisioning is automatic: you pick the operating system, and root access plus your IPv4 and IPv6 details arrive right away.
Can I pay monthly without a contract?
Yes. You can pay month to month and cancel any time, with no minimum term. Annual billing is about 30% cheaper if you want the lowest price, and every plan carries a 14-day money-back guarantee either way.
